Early 2021, the president of the HSP Research Foundation Inc., Frank McKeown, approached me as a previous client of mine had recommended my services to him. The HSP Research Foundation is a registered charity in Australia that was created in 2005 with the objective "to find an effective treatment for Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) – a progressive, inherited, degenerative disease affecting mainly the legs, causing spasticity, muscle weakness and severely impairing walking." I received several short German physiotherapy videos and transcribed those into German with time stamps. I then translated the resulting scripts into English, maintaining the time stamps, for the customer to process, in this case into English voice-over.
Customer Testimonial: HSP Research Foundation"Through working with Peggy, it is clear that there is much more to translation than translation alone. What Peggy offers is professional consultancy as well as professional translation. Engaging her in the thinking and design of our translation project paid huge dividends where we started with voice recordings from video in German and finished up with not just separate written time stamped transcripts in English and German but also with a bilingual time stamped script to facilitate professional voice-over on the videos."
